Seriously, he was. April 8 was a much anticipated day that my students will not forget for a long time. There has been a serious amount Tom Angleberger books being read by my students this year - Fake Mustache probably being the favorite. And Tom Angleberger lived up to all expectations! He flew paper airplanes (really awesome ones) with my son & daughter. He called everyone Larry. Tom had us laughing and reminding us how great reading can be. He folded a life size Origami Yoda and put it on a student (thank you Olivia H. for being a good sport) and then we all made mini-Origami Yoda's. Tom reminded us that we are all a little weird and that is a great thing! Kids almost couldn't contain themselves - they were so excited. Many students took home a book to be treasured with a personalized signature drawn by Tom. Students and staff have talked about it all week. It doesn't get much better than this. Thank you to RJ Julia booksellers in Madison, CT for making this happen for us - Karen you are the best! Thank you again to Tom Angleberger for spending time with us and making a difference in children's lives.
