Well, Hurricane Irene really mixed things up for us here in CT. School was delayed, still many without power. Trying to get back into school mode now - excited for the 1st day. Can't wait to start some technology projects with my classes and teachers. I went to EdcampCT (#edcampct) on August 8th at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury. It was an unconference where the conference goers got to plan the day and lead the sessions. Loved it and can't wait to go next year. Learned great things about iPads in the classroom. My two favorites were Toontastic and Creative Book Builder. I can't wait to use them with 3rd and 4th grade this year. There is a lot to think about with Common Core coming, trying out Responsive Classroom, and just trying to find great books for the kids.
